The dragon-slaying St. Jordi (St. George) is the patron saint of Catalunya.
His feast day is celebrated on April 23 in a very gentle style. Men
traditionally give women flowers while women present men with books.
Books and flower stalls pop up all over town, and Catalan publishers
profit from the occasion to launch new titles.
